Review of 2025

It’s been another busy year for the Trustees and Co-Ordinators.

Not only have we had a full programme of events, training, talks and visits to projects we’ve being carrying out our own evaluation for the OVCA project.  We’ve also had to contend with loss of our website and all of our database.  Thanks to Superlative Design for getting us back up and running with our new beautiful website which we hope in 2026 will be updated more regularly! We also now have the option of being able to send you newsletters like this one.

Some amazing stats have come from our evaluation:

  • Over 3kgs of wildflower, vegetable and flower seed given out
  • Articles in Seaford Scene, Newhaven Matters and the Peacehaven Town Council have enabled us to reach a huge number of residents across the Seahaven area – bringing us new members and interest in what the Network is doing.
  • Collaboration with other organisations including Weald to Waves and the Peoples Park for Nature and multiple visits to Bishopstone Station for seed and plant swaps and talks

Changes to how we provided networking opportunities have also proved popular.  Moving from evening meetings with a speaker we trialled a more relaxed form in various locations including Mamoosh and the Hillcrest Centre.

Jessie and Lesley are now looking at the programme for 2026 – if there’s anything we can do to support you and your groups please let  us know at contact@greenhavens.network.

We’re also looking for new Trustees, volunteers to help run the Network and events. Please get in touch if you’re interested.

🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄
And finally, from us to you we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Cheers to 2026🥂
from Julie, Pam, Lesley & Jessie x
