We’re arranging a springtime stroll through Riverside Park, Newhaven. This is  a family event aimed at children. An opportunity for little ones to learn about nature, identifying species in a fun way with Jessie and Lesley. Numbers will be limited so booking will be essential – please email to book your space.

Riverside Park is a wonderfully diverse green space on the edge of town with an interesting history. Originally grazing for cattle it was converted to the town’s landfill site and in the 80’s once full was topped off to become a piece of wasteland. During a campaign against development a local group of residents convinced the landowners (District and County Council) to upgrade the land to a Nature Reserve which now has SNCI status.
