Primroses with their beautiful delicate creamy yellow flowers make us sigh with happiness as we know spring is here, which is probably why in the magical world they are symbols of eternal love.

These woodland native flowers are important as one of the first sources of nectar for our butterflies. Small tortoiseshell and Brimstone butterflies feast hungrily on them.

They grow fabulously in pots, coming back year after year, why not grow a couple and feed our butterflies.

If you have a garden, they love shady areas and will spread over time over your lawns giving you a breath-taking display, year on year.
