Each week thousands of people go to their local parks and run. Running is a fantastic way to keep fit,  enjoy the outdoors and meet new people. Park Run organise fantastic free events that runners of all levels can join, monitoring their progress, competing against others, or just having fun.

Park runs are held all over the country but it’s likely that not many of the Saturday morning 5k routes take you past beach huts and the English Channel, letting you wave at a kittiwake colony half way along!

Seaford Park Run only started in February 2019 and is already hugely popular. It starts at the Sailing Club near the Buckle car park in Seaford, and follows the promenade down to Splash Point where you turn round and come back.

If you stop for a breather, don’t miss those spectacular cliffs and the Shoal bench. Local birdwatchers also congregate here, sea watching for birds on migration. Also look out for pied wagtails and rock pipits on the shore line and ringed plovers on the beach near the sailing club, where you can also grab a post run coffee.

Register for Park run free here. If you don’t want to run, then Park Run also welcome volunteers to help out on the day.
