Don’t forget the next Greenhavens Meeting is next week, 4th December, 7pm to 9pm upstairs at Meeching Hall, Newhaven.

For those that have recently joined us, we hold these meetings 4 times a year and it is a chance for us all to come together with the general public and listen to some great speakers and to catch up with other members.

Our guest speaker is Professor Osborn is Chair of Human Ecology and Co-Chair UCL Environment Domain at the Department of Earth Sciences, University College London. In July he was also appointed as the new Chair of CPRE Sussex (the Sussex arm of the Countryside Charity)

Prof Osborn has interests in well-being, human ecology, environmental policy, coastal flooding and climate change. Prof Osborn believes that the challenges of climate change and the well-being of our growing population should be tackled together – by strengthening and enhancing the connection between people and nature.

We are also looking forward to hearing from our member groups, Refill Seaford and Newhaven and Haven Community Hub. You can read more about them in our recent articles

Finally Sustrans will also be giving us a quick update on the developments on their awesome project in Peacehaven.

We will also be encouraging all groups to volunteer for a 60 second speedy networking slot. You can use this time to share some news, announce up and coming events, or make an appeal for volunteers or resources. Or perhaps you would just like to recap what your community group does, for the benefit of new members and guests. There should also be some time for networking with other members.

Please do come along. This is your chance to connect with Greenhavens, and other partners and member groups. We really are better and stronger together.
